International Press Activity
During my time at Marketing Manchester I was heavily involved in attracting international journalists to the city. This was done through a reactive approach and also dealing with requests to visit. The aim of this activity was to generate a targeted amount of media coverage in the selected targeted geographical locations.
Partnerships were made with several organisations around the city to facilitate trips, whilst also working with rail and air networks to get journalists to Manchester.
On an average day I would be juggling organising, planning and attending several press trips – alongside other responsibilities. Organisation was certainly key!
